2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP)
30-Day Public Review/Comment Period Now Open (June 24 – July 25, 2025)
The Bowling Green-Warren County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is working with a consultant, Gresham Smith, to update the long-range transportation plan, the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). The MTP identifies the use of federal funds for transportation priorities and projects that improve safety and mobility for everyone who drive, walk, bike, take transit, or move goods and services within and through the area.
The MPO has worked diligently since fall 2024 to incorporate public and stakeholder comments and concerns gathered through public meetings and online surveys to prepare a Draft 2050 MTP. The MPO presents the Draft 2050 MTP for public review and comment to gather additional feedback and input. A public comment period will open beginning June 24, 2025 and ending July 25, 2025 for public review and to solicit input on the Draft 2050 MTP. The comments received during the public comment period will be taken into consideration during the finalization of the 2050 MTP document. The MPO welcomes and values public comment as part of the update process to ensure the final draft of the 2050 MTP best serves the needs of the Bowling Green and Warren County community.
