The 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) for the Bowling Green-Warren County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) has been completed and approved. The 2050 MTP outlines the goals, objectives, policies, and proposed improvements needed to maintain a safe, effective, and efficient multi-modal transportation system for the movement of people and goods throughout Warren County, including the City of Bowling Green. Updated every five years and encompassing at least a 20-year planning horizon, the MTP is one of several required items addressed by the MPO to meet Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) standards that in turn enables the MPO to utilize and distribute federal transportation funds for use in its member communities.
