The Bowling Green-Warren County Metropolitan Transportation Organization (BG-WC MPO) is excited to announce the kick-off of the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan Bowling Green-Warren County MPO Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). Every five years, the BG-WC MPO updates its MTP to articulate major long-term transportation needs and solutions in the Warren County area. This update is required by the federal government to qualify the region to receive and distribute federal transportation funds.

Key Objectives
The Bowling Green-Warren County MPO Metropolitan Transportation Plan aims to meet six key objectives:
- A Vision and Goals to Guide Transportation Investments
- Document Existing State of Transportation Infrastructure
- Promote Decision-Making Grounded in Guiding Principles and Best Practices
- Recommend Future Improvements in Coordination with Local Communities, Stakeholders, and Agencies
- Provide Guidance on Priorities, Partnerships, and Funding
- Identify Priority Corridors and Projects
Project Schedule
In mid-2024, the MPO began the process of developing the MTP. The planning process is expected to conclude by July 2025.
