Fall 2018 Newsletter

As we’ve told you before, Warren County’s population has grown exponentially over the past decade, and in particular, we’ve seen a lot of new infrastructure in the past few years. While apartments have been trending throughout our community, this quarter’s numbers reveal 2018 slowing down on apartments. The numbers for building permits, zone changes, plats recorded, and various other services are still considered high, but have shifted slightly to favor more single family homes. Over the latest three-month period, a total of 338 acres were approved for single family development with varying number of lots per acre and an average of one lot per acre. The largest tract of land approved for single family development totaled 141.82 acres with a total of 62 lots (2.3 acre lots); whereas, the smallest lot size totaled 0.16 acre lots within a 48.69 acre tract. The table below breaks down the numbers provided from some of the services provided here at the Planning Commission.
