The Bowling Green-Warren County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is undertaking a study of multimodal transportation solutions, namely WALKING and BIKING needs within the community. The results of the survey along with other data and information gathered from previous planning efforts will help us better understand these needs and how best to prioritize limited funds for addressing sidewalk and bikeway improvements within Bowling Green and Warren County.

ABOUT THE MPO
On June 3, 2003, the Governor of Kentucky designated the Bowling Green-Warren County MPO. Its boundary includes the Bowling Green urban area as well as the balance of Warren County. The MPO is the transportation policy-making organization for Bowling Green and Warren County. The MPO reviews the transportation plans and programs and annually endorses a course of action for implementing these plans.

MPO Technical Advisory Committee
The MPO Policy Committee has one standing subcommittee that is used throughout the metropolitan transportation planning process. The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is made up of representatives from organizationsand groups that have a direct involvement in the planning or operation of transportation facilities throughout Warren County. This committee’s purpose is to advise the MPO Policy Committee on technical issues affecting the transportation system of Warren County. The Technical Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the Policy Committee.
