Maps - Historic Preservation

There are two different types of historic districts. Local Historic Districts are protected with special guidelines on what can and cannot be done to the property. National register listing is honorary and carries some financial opportunities; however, property owners are free to maintain, manage, or dispose of their property as they chose, provided that there is no Federal involvement.
