An owner of property with a Local Historic Designation must submit a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) application before making any minor exterior changes, new construction project or demolition.
Applications for new construction projects or demolition requests must be approved by the BG/WC Historic Preservation Board at their regularly scheduled monthly meeting (4th Thursday each month).
Exterior change, signs, and fences applications can be approved by CCPC Staff within one week.
A COA Fee must be submitted with all applications.
