An owner of property with a Local Historic Designation must submit a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) application before making any minor exterior changes, new construction project or demolition.
Applications for new construction or demolition must be approved by the Historic Preservation Board at their regularly scheduled monthly meeting. Minor exterior change applications can be approved by Staff within 5 to 10 working days after receipt. A COA Fee must be submitted with all applications.
