Urban Growth Design Review Board

The Urban Growth Design Review Board will provide technical oversight in the implementation of the development standards for any adopted Urban Growth Overlay District. The Board reviews Overlay Development Plans for proposals in adopted Urban Growth districts and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission. Throughout this ordinance the Urban Growth Design Review Board shall be referred to as either the "Design Review Board" or "The Board".

The Urban Growth Design Review Board shall be composed of seven (7) members, of which three (3) shall be appointed by the Warren County Judge/Executive with approval by the Warren County Fiscal Court and three (3) members appointed by the Mayor of the City of Bowling Green with approval by the Bowling Green Board of Commissioners. One (1) member shall be jointly appointed by both the City and the County.

It shall be a preference, but not a requirement, that two of the members should be licensed, certified, or employed in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, planning, or design. Each member shall serve a staggered two (2) year term. Initially each governing body shall appoint two (2) members to a one (1) year term, and one (1) member to a two (2) year term. All subsequent appointments shall be for two years. A member may be re-appointed, subject to the approval of each governing body.

2011-11-16 BWJ Holdings, LLC and Builders By Design Corporation have applied for approval of an Overlay Development Plan on a tract of land containing 0.50 acre (21,825 square feet) located at 200 Natchez Trace Avenue, approximately 200’ from New Towne Drive. The plan proposes the construction of a two-story, 8,646 square foot medical office building, and all required parking, drainage and landscaping. This property is zoned PUD (Planned Unit Development) with a general development plan. A copy of this Plan may be seen in the Planning Commission office, 1141 State Street. 2011-10-19 Mount Victor Olde Towne Apartments, LLC and Lovers Lane Land and Farm, LLC have applied for approval of an Overlay Development Plan on a tract of land containing approximately 4.2 acres, located on a proposed extension of New Towne Drive, approximately 238’ northeast of Olde Towne Boulevard. The Plan proposes the construction of (2) three-story apartment buildings, containing (24) two-bedroom units and (12) one-bedroom units, and (1) three-story apartment building containing (24) one-bedroom units, for a total of (24) two-bedroom units and (36) one-bedroom units. Also proposed is all required parking, drainage and landscaping. This property is zoned PUD (Planned Unit Development) with Binding Elements. A copy of this Plan may be seen in the Planning Commission office, 1141 State Street. 2011-10-19 Davita Dialysis has applied for approval of an Overlay Development Plan on a tract of land at 391 Suwannee Trail Street, approximately 271.71 feet from Natchez Trace Avenue. The Plan proposes a freestanding sign and building sign for a medical office currently under construction at this location. This property is zoned PUD (Planned Unit Development) with Binding Elements. A copy of this Plan may be seen in the Planning Commission office, 1141 State Street. 2011-08-17 BWJ Holdings, LLC has applied for approval of an Overlay Development Plan on a tract of land containing 1.005 acres (43,792 square feet) located at 335 New Towne Drive, at the intersection of New Towne Drive and Natchez Trace Avenue. The plan proposes the construction of a two-story, approximately 7,795 square foot medical office building, and all required parking, drainage and landscaping. This property is zoned PUD (Planned Unit Development) with Binding Elements 2011-02-16 Lovers Lane Land and Farm and Khalid Bhatti, M.D. have filed an application for approval of an Overlay Development Plan on a tract of land containing 38,705 square feet (0.885 acre) located on Suwannee Trail Street, approximately 271.71 feet from Natchez Trace Avenue. The Plan proposes the development of a single story, 6,110 square foot dialysis facility and all required parking, drainage and landscaping. This property is zoned PUD (Planned Unit Development) with Binding Elements.
